If I was a stick of rock, and you were to snap me in half, I’d be a pink flower. I’m flowers right down to the core. I love all things flowers the shape, colours, sizes, scent. I love the way they move and change as they open. I love the magic of a small pathetic bud that burst into the most glorious flower. They are majestic, dainty, romantic and stunning and I just love every one of them.
My career began at age 13 when my mum needed a Saturday girl for her florist shop.
At age 18 I began 4 years of city and guilds floristry training at Bournemouth and Poole College. All of which I passed with credits and destinations.
I’ve done all sorts of flowers for all sorts of occasions; I’ve even dabbled in a little competition work but they’re all stories for another day.
For the last 30 years, I have been head florist and flower buyer at Flower Vogue, working in our family business in New Milton in the New Forest.
But like everything in life, things change, and my dad decided he was retiring. At age 80, who can blame him really! ... So, the shop closed.
So, what does a redundant florist do? Start her own business, that’s what!
And by golly I am having so much fun, now I just play with flowers to my heart's content.
All my wonderful flower and sundry suppliers have stayed with me, for which I am very grateful, as their flowers and products, I believe, really are the best.
So here I am talking to you, let’s fill you in a little more.
As I love all aspects of the floral industry, I do All celebratory events from weddings to christenings. Commercial functions from Christmas decorations to corporate hospitality, and finally heartfelt funerals. I don’t need to specialise as my extensive knowledge and experienced backup team of lovely people enables me to give everyone my full attention, without the distraction of a retail establishment.
I do deliveries, or you can collect if you’d prefer.
I am happy to do home/work visits, to talk about the flowers you need, it’s often easier when it’s something as personal as a funeral, a wedding, or specific needs for a large upcoming event.
Have a look around my website, you can buy directly on here, or should you need something bespoke you can get hold of me by phone, text, email, WhatsApp, or direct message me on Facebook and Instagram. As you can imagine I don’t have everything on here, My slogan is: The Glorious Union of flower and design, where every display is as individual as the person they are for. With this in mind, I make many ‘one off’s’ that I don’t advertise as it keeps them exclusive to that client. Just get in touch and let me help you too.
